Full Residential Sprinkler Systems with a Water Pump to Boost Water Pressure

Where mains water pressure is either low or erratic in a residential area then the use of a water pump may be necessary to ensure the sprinklers are fed water at a sustained rate.

The water pump will need to be powered by a mains voltage supply provided on its own circuit breaker. Nationwide can liaise with the electrical contractor to make sure the correct type is fitted.

The installation of the pump in the property is usually situated near the mains water feed into the property, usually in a closet to minimise disruption and visual impairment.

An example of our work is available in residential sprinkler case studies.

The water pump design will be incorporated into the CAD drawing that will be submitted to the BCO for approval before the job begins.

Nationwide Fire Sprinklers incorporates this into its design service to help minimise disruption to the client and ensuring the job installation is completed efficiently.

As well as the rate at which water is being supplied to the sprinklers; a guarantee of the available amount of water may be required to fight the fire for a fixed duration, in this case a storage tank may be used.

All these additions will be calculated by the sprinkler engineer as he works to meet the BCO's specifications.
