1. What area is covered by one sprinkler? - Top

Generally sprinkler heads are spaced so that the maximum area protected by a sprinkler is 15m sq. or less and sprinklers should not be more than 4m apart or 2m from any wall or partition. Also, the distance between sprinklers should not be any less than 2m. - Updated: October 9, 2009

2. What metal is the compression fittings and fixings made from? - Top

The compression fittings used for copper pipe sections of sprinkler systems are primarily made of Brass and have a Copper olive (the part that makes the seal between the pipe and the fitting). These fittings are not used on any pipe material other than Copper pipe and generally most sprinkler systems are made up of Steel or CPVC (Blazemaster) pipe from the valve set onwards. - Updated: May 27, 2009
