Partial Domestic Fire Sprinkler Systems with a Pump and Tank

Partial sprinkler systems using a 'pump and tank' arrangement can often be used where the installation only requires a small number of rooms to be protected but need a sustained water flow for a fixed duration to allow the occupants to escape.

The addition of a water tank can be necessary when there is doubt that additional water can be provided to the property when a sprinkler activation is triggered.

The most common example of partial systems is usually loft conversions or houses with 2 storeys or less, where a small number of rooms need protecting.

Partial systems usually work out to be cheaper than full systems. Nationwide can help talking with the BCO to ensure as small installation cost as possible whilst maintaining compliance with all the necessary standards.

By incorporating Nationwide in your project inmay be possible to proceed without the use of water pump, if the mains water pressure is sufficient. A mains water  pressure test will determine this.

As part of the design, the installation of the pump, pressure vessel and other equipment may be placed under the stairs or in the basement. This not only reduces cost but saves on space and makes a safer environment to work and live in. This can all be achieved through an interactive process between client and contractor, Nationwide specialises in helping its customers through this process, don't take our word for it read our customer's comments for yourself.
